Tasted at BI Wine & Spirits’ 10-Years-On tasting, the 2007 Nenin has never been the strongest vintage from the estate. The aromatics felt a little fatigued after ten years, with earthy, woodland aromas dominating what remains of the fruit (very little, to be honest). The palate is medium-bodied with stern tannin, but it sags in the middle and feels rather mean and austere towards the finish. This Pomerol estate is producing much better wines now. Tasted February 2017.

This blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc exhibits a dark ruby color, seductive, upfront aromas of raspberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with hints of caramel and wood spice, and a soft, round, attractive style. It is ideal for drinking over the next 7-10 years.
